When a Dog Sees a Doe

Majestic and grand

In the twilight she stands

Such a creature as I’ve never seen.

She stops and she stares

Blinks brown eyes and flicks ears

Such a silence there never has been.

Then she turns and she glides

And the grass gives a sigh

And the forest has taken her in.
