Galloping Away is a middle grade novel written by Robin Kolb, cover art by Christine Fellows, and the inside illustrations by Ilana Ostrar. It follows 13-year-old Alex as she bonds with a new born colt and strives to prove herself mature and capable of horse training in order to keep the colt. When things take a turn, Alex has to work to regain her confidence and the trust of her family, otherwise the horse of her dreams will gallop away.
