Roanie

I did it! My 2021 NaMoPaiMo (National Model Painting Month) model is finished with one day to spare! Meet Roanie. He's a portrait model of the little strawberry roanaloosa mustang gelding I used to ride. He started as a Breyer Galiceno in the traditional scale. For my 2020 ICEE (International Customizing Equine Event) I worked on sculpting the face to better match the real horse. I also added more to the mane and tail, made the mare into a gelding, and gave him very slight feathers, all with apoxie. His logo has also been sanded and air hole moved. Roanie is done in pastels, colored pencils, and acrylic paint. His eyes, nostrils, and hooves are glossed.
