Icelandic Medallion

Finished this guy for Medallion Madness Month 2021 with a few days to spare! His markings are based on a real Icelandic stallion. He's done in pastels with colored pencil and acrylic. Nostril and eye are glossed. I learned a lot painting this guy. After the brown pastel was down I laid down the white markings in colored pencil. Then went over them in acrylic. It made things less scary that way since acrylic is forever. Every new piece I do I learn something!
